Polymeric Sheet Plant

The Plant operation is aimed at manufacturing plastic sheets used by industrial enterprises and construction companies. The Plant has a complete set of process equipment, including state-of-art high-performance extrusion lines.

01 — materials

We use both materials of excellent quality and materials obtained by waste-free technologies.

We purchase raw materials from approved suppliers. The raw materials meet all international standards.

The high-level integrated automation, advanced technologies, staff qualifications and equipment availability allow the transfer to the production of modified products in a very short time, thereby satisfying the consumers’ desire to receive a high-quality product in a timely manner.

Our products are well known both for their excellent quality and for their environmental friendliness, since they are made using virtually waste-free technologies. Materials are 100% recyclable.

The production capacity is 700.000 kg sheet per month.

A wide range of raw materials for the production of plastic sheet that exists on the world polymer market, allows the manufacture of sheets with a specific set of properties, in a wide variety of colours and shades.

02 — products

Sheets of polyolefin PP (homopolymer), PP (block copolymer), HDPE, LDPE)

Polyolefin sheets are used for manufacturing products for the national economy by thermoforming, as well as for facing, anti-corrosion, craft supplies, and so on.

Mechanical properties:

High impact strength and good crack resistance

The company issues the following sheets:

  • polypropylene (homopolymer)
  • polypropylene (block copolymer)
  • high-density polyethylene

Colour of sheets and coating with a protective film:

Optional

Chemical resistance:

Resistant to acids, alkalis, salt solutions, mineral and vegetable oils at high temperatures

Dimensions:

  • width: up to 2,000 mm.
  • thickness: from 1.5 mm to 20 mm.

Use of polystyrene homopolymer and polystyrene block copolymer sheets:

Large tanks, bathtubs, pools etc.

Operating temperature:

LDPE: from -40 ºС to +70 ºС; HDPE: from -60 ºС to +110 ºС; PP (homopolymer) from -15 ºС to +120 ºС PP (block copolymer) from -40 ºС to +110 ºС

Use of high-density polyethylene sheets:

Manufacturing tanks, waterproofing, guttering, vacuum forming and so on

Special additives are used for improving physical and mechanical properties and weatherproofing.

For welding sheets, we offer rods of these materials of any diameter and colour.

ABS SHEETS

ABS SHEETS

The production of ABS sheets occupies a significant share of plastic sheet production. ABS is a product of copolymerisation of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene, that is, a modification of high-impact polystyrene. ABS plastic sheets are made by extrusion and co-extrusion. Sheets can have a matte or glossy surface, embossing of different types, paint in different colours in bulk, and can also be coloured in a variety of shades.

Mechanical properties:

High strength.

Weather resistance:

Not resistant to UV radiation. UV stabilizer can be added.

Application:

Manufacturing products of increased strength and rigidity with a matte or glossy surface. A wide range of products is made of ABS plastic sheet by thermoforming in various industrial areas: motor vehicle, refrigeration, sanitation, furniture, construction, and packaging industries.

It is used for technical parts, such as containers, body parts, linings, as well as for moulding large-sized products, manufacturing of which by injection moulding is economically inadvisable.

Chemical resistance:

Resistant to alkalis, lubricating oils, solutions of inorganic salts and acids, hydrocarbons, fats, gasoline. Not resistant to acetone, ether, ethylated benzene, ethyl chloride, ethylene chloride, aniline, anisole, benzene.

Operating temperature:

From -40 to +80 °С; can withstand short-term heating up to 105 °С.

SHEETS OF ABS+PC COMPOSITION

ABS+PC sheets are made of a composition based on ABS plastic and polycarbonate. Sheets can have a matte or glossy surface, embossing of various types. They can be painted in different colours in bulk and can also be coloured in a variety of shades.

Mechanical properties:

ABS+PC sheets have a higher impact strength than other engineering plastics.

Weather resistance:

Resistant to UV radiation.

Application:

Manufacturing parts for car interior and exterior trim by thermoforming (dashboards, wheel covers, bumpers), instrument housing (monitors, household and office equipment), as facing materials and craft supplies.

Chemical resistance:

Resistant to alcohols, water, salt solutions and oils.

Operating temperature:

From -50 to +100 °С; material withstands short-term heating without load up to 145°С, with load – up to 110°С.

ABS/TPU SHEETS

ABS/TPU SHEETS

ABS/TPU sheets with soft coating are made of ABS plastic and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) by co-extrusion. ABS/TPU sheets are highly elastic non-toxic in case of skin contact, well able to deep drawing and thermoforming.

Manufacturing parts for car interior trim by thermoforming, as facing materials and craft supplies.

Resistant to oils, fats, greases and various solvents.

From -40 to +80 °С.

ABS/PMMA SHEETS

ABS/PMMA SHEETS

Made of two materials ABS and PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate, in common terms plexiglass, acrylic, plexiglass, etc.) by co-extrusion, by applying one material to another without mixing.

Compared to block acrylic (plexiglass), the ease of thermoforming the main ABS layer enables it to be processed at lower energy costs, while reducing the cycle time and, consequently, increasing the yield, which ultimately reduces the cost, and also allows products of irregular shapes and designs to be made: baths and details of shower cabins, containers for washing, car interior and exterior trim.

Standard equipment is used for processing sheets by thermoforming. The whole set of properties of two-layer plastic (impact resistance of ABS, heat resistance, rigidity, hardness, gloss and wide colour range of PMMA) makes it first among other sheet materials for similar purpose.

Application:

Sheets are used for applications requiring a smooth, glossy surface that is durable, non-porous and chemically resistant, as well as resistant to ultraviolet radiation.

They are used for fabricating advertising products, commercial, medical, sanitary equipment (sunbeds, swimming pools, jacuzzi, shower trays, cabins and related elements), in construction and motor vehicle industry.

Chemical resistance:

Resistant to weak acids, solutions of alkalis and salts, alcohols, water, oils, fats, gasoline.

Operating temperature:

From -40 to +80 °С.

PS sheets (high impact polystyrene)

PS sheets (high impact polystyrene)

AO “SAPT” also manufactures polystyrene sheets. High impact polystyrene sheets are characterised by high impact resistance, excellent formability and ease of processing.

Higher impact resistance than general-purpose polystyrene.

Weather resistance:

Non-resistant to UV radiation. UV stabilizer can be added.

Application:

Used for fabricating outdoor advertising, outdoor signs, decorating trading halls, shops, cafes and restaurants, concert halls, etc. The excellent formability of polystyrene allows the creation of exclusive full-volume products for decoration and advertising.

Commonly used in the food industry and for manufacturing household appliances (internal parts of refrigerators).

Chemical resistance:

Resistant to diluted acids, alkalis, alcohols.

Operating temperature:

From -30 to +70 °С.
